I'm feeling like the color purple

In my class at school, I teach the kids to tell me how they are feeling by identifying with a color. So if they are feeling angry, or mad they tell me they are feeling red, if they are happy normally they say they are feeling yellow or blue. I'm feeling a bit purple. How would I describe feeling purple? I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed but happy and strong. I've been super busy planning all sorts of Valentines activities for my kiddos in school, our theme for Valentines Day is "I mustache you to be my valentine" above is a sample picture of me wearing one of our class mustaches :) Anyway, on to the mani!
For Christmas, my awesome friend Nia bought me a TON of nail polishes and my first Rimmel polish! I was happily surprised at how awesome the formula for this polish is! It is a nice thick formula and the brush coats your nail super evenly. I used two coats of Wild Orchid for this mani, but I definitely could have gotten away with just one coat! This polish definitely one of my top favorites....and because I get bored easily, I first topped my mani with a thin swipe of one of my Nicole Justin Bieber mini polishes (which i sadly don't have a name for) and I thought it looked darling.
Then I was out shopping with my mom today and at Walgreens I stumbled upon TWO left over polishes for Wet n' Wild's Ice Baby collection!!! I was really excited *squee* I scooped them both up and added a splash of "Believe me, it's real!" onto my ring fingers. Topped with a thick coat of SV for shine :)
"Believe me it's real" is an awesome small blue glitter with larger purple glitter scattered throughout it. I absolutely LOVE the Ice Baby collection and wish I would have boughten them all when they first came out in October :( but at least I have 3 from the collection!

He gives me butterflies Pink Wednesday

Yesterday at Ulta, something amazing happened. For their 21 days of beauty, they were having a huge sale on Butter London nail polishes: Buy one get one FREE!!! Ok, so I always wanted to try these polishes, but couldn't justify spending $14 per bottle for one. AND I had a $3.50 off coupon for purchases of $10.00 or more..So that being said, I took Josh to the dentist yesterday and while he was getting worked on, I snuck off to Ulta...where I bought two bottles. I thought I had satisfied my polish addiction lol. One color I picked was purely on the name "La Moss" I wasn't sure how I would like the color, but didn't really care. ha! So for pink Wednesday I decided to go for a vintage traveling circus inspired theme :)
I decided to use my good ol' Katy Perry Black Shatter from OPI on my thumb, over three coats of Butter London Queen Vic. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the Butter polishes, they were extremely thin :( I did three coats on my mani, and probably could have used a 4th. I like having my accent nail being my thumb for once :) it's cute in my opinion!
I stamped the butterfly pattern on my nails with one of my BM plates :) using Butter London La Moss! and I actually really really love the rich vintage red color :)
The polishes I used for my mani :) OPI black shatter, Butter Queen Vic, Butter La Moss.
AND my fabulous Ulta haul (I had to go back later that night and score two more bottles!) I got Toff, Wallis Queen Vic, and La Moss..

Josh is working a double, so I won't see his face until Friday night! Sad, but at least I get to squeeze in some time to do "me" things, like spend a ridiculous amount of time looking through my polishes, and cleaning up the mess afterward! ha :)

the Revvvolution is mine!

*Squee!* I have exciting news for you all....today, I got my hands on Color Club Revvvolution!!! I could hardly believe it when i found it on the shelf in the store! Its simply beautiful!! It goes on so thick and smoothly, that I don't ever want to use another nail polish in my life. Ok that's an over exaggeration haha, But I AM in love with this color! And since I can't leave my manis alone, I had to stamp it to make it super fancy :) I am meeting my boys parents tomorrow for the first time, so I had to have nails that made a good impression, I think I nailed it with this mani for sure!
Look at all the amazing rainbows in this polish!! It is a fantastic small holo, the best I've ever gotten my hands on. :) *drools*
So, I decided to do a quick comparison between Color Club Revvvolution and the Black Poppy polish I found at the mall..Honestly, when the two bottles were held side by side, I was leaning more toward Black Poppy, the holo glitter seemed to glow more!
However...when compared, Revvvolution (on the left) BLOWS Black Poppy (right) out of the water!! Look at how much thicker and holographic the polish truly is, sorry for the blurry picture I was trying to get more of the rainbow in than quality of the photograph :P
For my finished mani I used Color Club Revvvolution and stamped it with Nicole from the Justin Bieber collection, since it's a mini bottle it doesn't have a name printed on it, but it's perfect for stamping! I used BM-205 for the stamping :) Hope you guys like it!! And I hope his parents do too!! I have a ton I would love to blog about, from my exciting night with my friend Nia, but that will have to wait for tomorrow when I'll blog about our cookie baking experience, our Martha Stewartness, and the beginning of our Frankens!

Babysitting & Purple Holo Nails

After my mall haul of polish with my bestie today, I was looking forward to getting to play with my new polishes, but there was a problem, I had to babysit at 5 tonight :( THEN it was like the polish heavens opened up and the family I nanny for, asked me to come at 5:30 instead! YES! that gave me just enough time to switch up my mani and try some new stuff on!
I used my *new* Kleancolor Holo Chrome for this look, I layered 2 coats of it over my mini Nicole by OPI Justin Beiber collection polish, and finished with a top coat of SV.
The name of it escapes me right now, I'm still at my nanny job. But, isn't that little bottle just adorable?
I love the way this polish sparkles, this is my very first time using Kleancolor nail polish and I am extremely impressed with it! It was a nice formula, and went on nice and heavy, I probably did not even need to use base coats of the Nicole by OPI polish, the Kleancolor polish would have easily coated my nails in a nice color. I'll try it alone next time :)
And just for some fun, this is me and the little girl I nanny, we were pretending to be Angry Birds while waiting for the game to reload on my phone...which took around 10 minutes, and to a 7 year old that seems like 2 hours. :)

The collection

I decided that it was time for me to take a good look at my collection of polishes! I sorted them all by color, which was extremely fun to do haha! I'm going to post a few of my color collections throughout my next few blog posts :)
This is what my collection looked like when I first poured it out...a mess! I counted and I believe that I have a total of 108 polishes in that pile! :) It's slowly growing!
here are my favorites, the pinks! I have 18 pinks, and I loveeee them all!

Golden Tiger

I haven't stamped in what seems like FOREVER! So, I decided to remedy that! I started with my new Nicole by OPI polish Sea How Far You Go, which is a beautiful money green/golden color. I used three coats, then topped with a coat of SV.
I then used Sally Hansen X-Treme wear color in Black out to stamp the zebra print! I used the BM plate from the new collection, plate number 223 :)

Some Katy Perry Nail Shatter!

After I used my SH crackle, I had to compair it to my OPI Black Shatter. So I came up with this fun mani! I used one of my all time favorite polishes for the base color, Nicole by OPI in The Next CEO. This is seriously one of my favorite polishes. It goes on so smooth, and while it takes a few coats to really get that foiled gold look, it's completely worth it! So this is 3 coats of The Next CEO:
I waited for it to dry completely, and then went over it with OPI Black Shatter, I really like this formula of polish minus how thick it is. Sometimes I find that it dries super quick when I'm trying to cover my entire nail and I end up with bumps. But it still shatters better than SH Crackle in my opinion:
